Osztreicher was a brand owned by George Ösztreicher who made violins  between 1990-1995 by the famous Korean Violin builder Shimro.

While studying violin making under master builders in Germany Shimro was commissioned By George Osztreicher to make the 507 with the highest quality German wood and material available.

After that Shimro went on to open his own factory in Germany and Korea. The 501 and 502 models are found in auction houses on the internet. As far as we know only one 507 was made 1995 which was all solid German spruce a
